Great Space Management Tool
I got BetterSnapTool back when OSX didn’t have their so-called “intuitive” snap areas. While I applaud Apple for finally hopping on the bandwagon for implementing a function like that, it falls short in so many ways. Formating-wise with reorganizing text, toolbars, pictures, etc., Apple does a superior job, but this little tool has so much customability that it makes up for what it doesn’t do. Here’s some examples that BetterSnapTool does better:
1. Allows you to snap more than two areas, which leads to less full screen modes.
2. It allows you to create “Snap Areas”, creating certain sizes and positions for one or multiple apps. Just a simple drag to that area with the right app with adjust it.
3. You can create command shortcuts to avoid time-consuming dragging.
4. The team consistently and constantly updates the app and has done so since it released it for Snow Leopard and Lion. You don’t have to worry about it becoming obsolete thanks to Apple’s constant OS updates and upgrades.
I could go one more, but there’s too much that I list. This is a top productivity app that is well worth its price.
