Doesn’t work with El Capitan’s Safari

Love this program and is a staple to my workflow. However, ever since upgrading to El Capitan, the changes in sizes doesn’t work for apps like Safari and Microsoft Word. Please address those issues? Thanks.

After Split View stopped working for me in 10.11.1, I got this and it works.

WAS one of my best til...

I got a firewall and just realized that BetterSnapTool connects to its web site every time it launches. No idea what it was doing (maybe no more than transmitting usage data) but do not like an app doing stuff like that without my permission… I am flushing it.

Works great

Used it for a little while now and haven’t found a problem with it. So far, it works as advertised and the price is justifiable.

Great app with a few flaws

I would like to see some more built -in designs for the snapping animation, specifically one that looks like windows snapping animation. Also, when restarting the application, snap areas stops working and you must click "edit snap areas" and then close it for it to work again.

Wow

awesome, use it every day

Amazing!!

This app is just amazing, exactly what I’ve been searching for! I was frustrated with El Capinan’s awful new split screen feature, and found this app in my search for a better solution. One of my favourite things is easy maximizing of windows, I get so annoyed when most windows open slightly less than full screen!! Anyway get this app it is so worth paying for!!

best app i got on the mac app store

honestly, i never got a mac for the reasons that this app solved. I multi task a LOT, and not just because i do multiple things. I just often need to quickly snap things left and right, similar to what you can do on windows. Not saying one is better than the other, but this app solved the issue, and hell, makes it even better than the window snapping on Windows. Only wish i knew about this sooner. Never got a mac till early 2014. Should have gotten one in 2008 before university. =_=. Well, my thinkpad was alright. PS. I was curious about if this mac would update over time, and worried about it, but nope. Great app, still updated, still works. Great stuff

Where have you been all my life??

I can’t believe it took me this long to look for an app that resized windows like this. This is an amazing app, simple to use yet super flexible. Well worth the $3.99. This has quickly become an essential app for me.

Double click function

Other than the double click function, everyything else is working flawlessly! Being able to snap my open applications comes in handy when working with multi windows. One of the problem I am having is with the double click function. Having the fuction on to maxiumize the window will work great but once you check the option to resize it back to the previous window size when double clicking again. The window would sometime resize it to its previous size but majority of the time with a single double click, it would maxiumize then resize the window to a random size and would probably be places in a random sport on my screen. Is there any fix to that or am I not using it right?

Essential

I have been using this app for quite a few years, it is great. It also gets updated on a regular basis. Does what is says it does.

Glitchy and keeps snapping the apps back… DO NOT BOTHER!

Keeps snapping the apps back after they’ve been snapped to the screen and now you’re trying to “unsnap” them! Not sure if I’d recommend this to anyone! Although a developer told me about this and raved about it! I was hoping for something similar to Windows Split Screen (or whatever it’s called). I don’t know why Apple didn’t get it right and I don’t understand why these guys couldn’t make it like that! Very disappointed (and annoyned). Would love my money back! Checked out their support site and it has no email address! What the heck? This should be a trial app before committing to buy!

Great tool, but sizes to move than 50% of the screen

Fantastic tool for snapping Windows in OSX similar to Windows 7 and above. Wish Apple would include this feature native to the OS but until then, this tool is the next best thing and very affordable.

Finally!

Everyone works a different way but a window manager that physically snaps and works as advertised is rare. Great job. Don’t overthink it. I only ask that you support more than 4 positions for those of us with a few ultrawide 4k displays. Great job and priced reasonablly compared to many people’s poorly though out get rich quick schemes! A++

Great Tool

Although I use multiple desktops a lot and swipe between them, this little inexpensive tool is great when wanting to view multiple windows on one screen or just wanting to place a window in a predefined location - simple and it works, have never had any issues and been using for several years.

Great App, Little Buggy

I can’t use mac without this app. Its amazing. I keep having this bug though that my windows once in a while won’t snap to full screen. It snaps to what full screen would be before the latest OS update where you could hide the top bar. When I close my browser and reopen it, it works again. Just kinda annoying.

Absolutely great

El Capitan’s split screen feature can’t hold a candle to this app. Many apps cannot handle the El Capitan split screen feature. BetterSnapTool can handle ANY app. Also far more versatile in sizing and position. Just excellent. I am very happy with it.

Works great — very customizable!

One of the few apps that I install on my macs and recomend to others. Works great on a macbook air all the way up to a large monitor. Very powerful and light.

Incredible

I use this app every single day and I couldn’t imagine my life without it anymore. What makes it even better, is that it is one of the few apps on the Mac app store that still receives updates. Thank you :)

Very useful app for developers

I’ve had this app on my iMac for about 10 minutes and I’m already in love. Very useful. Quick-tipL Use your number pad for keyboard shortcuts: ^7: upper-left, ^8: top, ^9: upper-right, etc...
